Ramona Holloway, Radio One Community Affairs Manager, will emcee the 10th annual World AIDS Day Luncheon. It's an extraordinary event dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those living with HIV and those at risk.

On Friday, Dec. 1, we will come together at the Omni Charlotte Hotel to remember those lost, raise awareness about HIV, and learn how RAIN is working to end HIV in our community.

National Philanthropy Day celebrates the individuals and organizations changing the world with a giving heart. Radio One’s Ramona Holloway will emcee the Association of Fundraising Professionals Charlotte's National Philanthropy Day event.

They'll uplift this year's honorees, shine a grateful spotlight on different forms of “giving back” and recognize the critical role philanthropy plays in creating a more equitable Charlotte-Mecklenburg community for all. Ramona Holloway will serve as emcee of this year’s Purse Power fundraiser, Gaston County Women United’s signature event. Proceeds will benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which places age-appropriate books in the hands of Gaston County children from birth to age 5 — an effort that currently supports more than 1,400 kids.

Purse Power started with the idea that the combined efforts of women could change a community for the better. Since 2011, the Purse Power fundraiser has served as a platform to unite women to support critical needs.

The countdown is on for The Longest Day Reunion, presented by the Alzheimer's Association of Western North Carolina, on Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. The Longest Day Reunion is a virtual gathering and a “rally for all who strive to outshine the darkness of Alzheimer’s.”
